What is the difference between a deck belt and drive belt?

How do I know what size deck belt I need?

How to Change the Deck Belt on a Riding Lawn Mower?
1. Park the mower on a level surface, and set the parking brake. Turn off the engine, and disconnect the spark plug wire.

2. Find the deck belt on the mower. This is typically located underneath the mower deck, near the drive or transmission pulleys.

3. Loosen the tension on the deck belt by loosening the bolts holding the belt tensioner in place.

4. Remove the old belt by pulling it away from the pulleys and off of the mower.

5. Install the new belt by looping it around the pulleys and securing it in place.

6. Tighten the tensioner bolts to secure the belt in place.

7. Reconnect the spark plug wire, and start the engine to test the new belt.
